CONFLICT RESOLUTION CASE STUDIES

  • Conflict resolution involves everyone. However strategies targeting youth are of particular importance (eg Cronulla).

  • It is important to employ strategies to help  people resolve everyday interethnic tensions without racism, simmering tensions, or violence .

  • Other situations where conflict resolution is important include conflict over shared spaces, or controversial development applications (eg Mosque development).
  • Linking New & Old Communities

The main aim of “Linking New and Old Communities” is to create a model for managing new arrivals in the UK. New Link also assists in the integration of new communities to the local area and to address and prevent tensions emerging with long term resident locals.
