CRISIS INTERVENTION CASE STUDIES
Ideally, councils should engage preventative strategies. However at times crisis response is necessary (eg; post-Cronulla).
At these times, immediate and strong leadership from the Mayor and community leaders is important.
A strong but peaceful anti-racist message is important. Key community stakeholders should be called together for crisis talks and to develop a strategic plan to deal with the tensions.
Need to think both short and long term.
